One of the inspirations for the Valley of Delights is Val d'Orcia, in Tuscany (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Val_d%27Orcia), so imagine a similar extension (a 15 km/9.5 mi radius area).

This means there is a relatively knit connection between the villages and town since basically, all centers would be less than a day of travel between each other.

Wizards don't set shop inside towns or villages: they are still considered a hazard despite the welcoming attitude (what if they miscast a fireball!?).

Sometimes, an economically successful and long-established wizard such as Kapuyt will develop a hamlet around his tower/laboratory/residence, but most would rely on the nearest village. But I can totally see some interconnecting, like the wizard becoming the "mayor" of a town, or the urban development starting to skew in the direction of the wizard tower.

I imagine that some wizards develop some "infrastructure" around their home labs, like big farmhouses, but maybe also some kind of "secular monastery" if they attract students. I figure some will develop some kind of inn, to attract people to test (and taste) their inventions.
